Jann Arden @ Massey Hall

The Toronto shows have been fantastic so far.

Massey Hall is such an amazing place to play.

There was a nice article in the star about the show...

Lyle's laptop is back from the shop and in working order again, so I feel much better now.

If you ever need anything MAC related, check out my good friends at digital prototypes

Jann Arden Uncover Me Tour 2007

Well, we've been on the road for a week today. We are in North Bay for a show. So far we have spent three nights in Moncton, rehearsing for two, playing a show on the third night. The show went really well in Moncton. Really great for a first show!

Then after the show, we hopped on the bus and travelled to Halifax, we played the same arena there as last tour. I took some time lapse photos there last time. It was another really great show! Then right after THAT show we hopped on the bus and headed for Montreal, for a day off. Our tour bus' transmission broke down near quebec city (lucky there was a provost dealership/service centre there). So we went for a nice trucker stop style breakfast there (veggie pizza for me) , and continued on in another bus (since we have THREE tour buses on the road).

In Montreal I spilled my soy latté in to Lyle's computer at an internet café. That was a low point in the tour for SURE. We rushed the laptop back to my room and borrowed Gary's screwdriver set, and started the operation! The keyboard had lots of the once delicious, now destructive soy beverage inside it. But when we removed it, the motherboard was untouched. Just a couple drops on the DVD drive.

I rinsed the keyboard under warm tap water with a final distilled water rinse at the end. And dried it with a warm blow dryer. It's been sitting drying for a few days now. I might try to re-assemble it tonight. I hope it works. Otherwise I will be buying lyle a new one. Anyone looking to sell a used mac book?

It's such a pleasure singing a playing with such an amazing group of musicians. I feel really lucky to be out on the road with these guys. I'm always trying to play up the their level. And the singing is starting to sound really great too.

I miss my friend Maury on the road, but I am so happy for him to be at home with his wife and beautiful new baby Hen. And I'm looking forward to playing with them again in the monkey bunch (dot com).

More stories to come....

And hopefully I'll take some photos too...
